Mass Effect: Andromeda Books Are Coming From Talented Writers, BioWare Confirms

BioWare, the developer of the Mass Effect games, officially commented on the Mass Effect: Andromeda books that surfaced online recently. The series of novels from Titan books will cover what happeed after the main trilogy and before next year's Andromeda, so the approach is kind of like the wave of Star Wars books released before The Force Awakens. In a post on its website called "Expanding The Mass Effect Universe", BioWare explained that the books will give the studio "the opportunity to expand the Mass Effect universe and bring new stories to life outside of the games."

While BioWare already confirmed that the new novels will be published by Titan books, they haven't divulged details about the stories they will tell, when they will be released, and who's writing them.

"Unfortunately, it's still too early to go into more detail about the books or when they will be released," BioWare said. "We are still in the midst of the creative process, but we are working with a talented group of writers to bring these exciting new stories to our fans."

The report said that there will be a total of four Mass Effect novels, and the first oe is reportedly titled Mass Effect Andromeda: Initiation. According to the report, it will be out in August 2016, and is being written by N.K. Jemisin. Mac Walters will write the untitled final book, and it's set to release in March 2018. They haven't announced who will be writing the second and third books, but they have March 2017 and September 2017 listed as release dates.

The Andromeda game was originally set to release in 2016, but BioWare delayed its release "to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be." It's expected to launch next year.
