Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Might be Coming Out 'Sooner Than We Think'

Marvel's Spider-Man proved to be one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusives, with fantastic gameplay and a story that wouldn't have felt out of place in the MCU or a comic book. Fans have spent countless hours playing the campaign, nabbing all the collectibles, finishing the DLC, then going to their other PSN profile to do all of it again. Naturally, fans want a sequel and the post-credits pretty much confirm that one is on the way.

So, when are we getting the Marvel's Spider-Man sequel? Should we call it Marvel's Spider-Man 2? When are we getting Marvel's Spider-Man 2? Well, according to Kinda Funny Games' Imram Khan, we could be getting the sequel sometime in Holiday 2021, meaning that the sequel will probably be a PlayStation 5 game. PS5 if you're lazy.

Khan said he knows quite a bit about Insomniac Games' upcoming, well, video game and can't say too much, despite telling us that it would indeed be coming out in Holiday 2021. Here is his brief but exciting comment:

"Spider-Man 2 is probably not coming at [PS5] launch. I think it's a Christmas 2021 title. I know too much about this so I can't speculate too much. I think Spider-Man 2 will come sooner than we think."

There is a lot for the sequel to explore, like Miles Morales' powers, Mary Jane and Peter Parker's long-distance relationship, Green Goblin, Venom, and so much more. Simply put, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has the potential to be one of the best video game sequels out there, maybe even becoming better than Arkham City.

Marvel's Spider-Man is now available on PS4. Fans can also get Marvel's Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition if they want all the DLC.
