Marvel’s Kevin Feige Hints at the Future of Avengers: Infinity War

There's still a good two years away from the first Avengers: Infinity War. But it's no surprise that fans are still hungry for some new updates on the ultimate two movies, Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel. Now that Doctor Strange is out in theaters, Marvel's Kevin Feige has given some new hints as to what fans can expect next.

Speaking to Collider, Feige touched on a few things, particularly on the future of the Avengers franchise, now that Sony and Marvel have teamed up and made Spider-Man's appearance in Avengers possible.

According to Feige, they are still trying to figure out what's going to happen, as Spider-Man: Homecoming has just wrapped up filming. But as far as the future of the franchise under the two companies, things are starting to look up.

"That iceberg [between Sony and Marvel] is thawed and is non-existent. So we talk to them all the time about what could be fun for the future."

Even with this reveal, Feige is keeping mum about whether or not we'll be seeing Spider-Man in Avengers: Infinity War. For now, he's putting it under the category of surprises.

And while Feige has time and again been asked if there ever will be a crossover between the Netflix MCU and the big screen, he remain solid about his usual answer: timing.

"It all depends on how to do it because I don't think what anybody wants to do is have such important characters show up for one second. It takes a lot of screen time, and it takes a lot of work. Infinity War has a lot of people in it already. So it just depends on how we could figure it out."

Touching on the current lineup of characters in Avengers: Infinity War, Feige also emphasized that the screenplay is already enjoying a nice balance of characters under the screenplay of Chris Markus and Steve McFeely.

However, when it comes to uniting all of the cast in one frame, perhaps to create the ultimate screenshot worthy of a finale poster, that is still the work cut out for the team.

Avengers: Infinity War's first movie will be out in 2018 and its untitled sequence in 2019.
