Marvel's 'Inhumans' TV Show Will Make an IMAX Debut

Marvel's newest TV series will be getting an IMAX debut, THRreports. The Inhumans is currently planned to debut in 1,000 IMAX theatres in 74 countries. The release date is November 14, 2017.

Theatres will show the first two episodes of the series for two weeks. It's been reported that these first two episodes are filmed with IMAX cameras and IMAX is footing the bill for them. The series will be eight episodes in total.

The show will focus on a superhuman race that exists within the Marvel universe. There will be some action sequences set on the moon, where the Inhumans originate from. The first two episodes will include extra content when they air on ABC after their theatrical run.

"We think this is a quadruple win — a win for IMAX, a win for Marvel, a win for ABC Studios and a win for ABC to launch a show in an innovative way and get attention," Disney-ABC Television Group president Ben Sherwood said about the project. Analysts like Henry Schafer agree this is a good move. "It looks like an interesting new way of breaking through clutter, various media options and platforms that people have," Schafer said. "This is an innovative way of doing that."

It sounds like there's a whole lot of hype being put into this show. I hope it turns out well. What do you think? Are you looking forward to The Inhumans?
