Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite Dated for Late 2017

Details for the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite have been very basic at best when it was first announced at the PlayStation Experience.

While we already know that it will follow the 2v2 format, feature arcade mode, Mission, and Cinematic Story Mode, and a new villain, we've only been given so much as a glimpse by way of the announcement trailer.

In an interview with 4Gamer (translated by EventHubs), Capcom's Tomoaki Ayano has finally confirmed the time window in which the studio is looking to release Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is set to release in the latter half of 2017."

While this in itself is already good news, Ayano gave even more hints of what the studio has in store as far as its games are concerned. He continued that another title coming in 2017 is Street Fighter's 30th anniversary.

To celebrate Street Fighter's third decade as a franchise, Capcom will be marking the occasion with something big. What that "something" is remains to be seen, but Capcom teased that "anyone who's a Street Fighter fan, get as excited as you're capable for this upcoming year."

Just this year, Street Fighter V was released with a rocky start. There hasn't been a lot of game-changing progress, so it is possible that the upcoming 2017 Street Fighter treat will be far more of a title for the pros.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be released on the PS4 come 2017.
