Marvel Universe Gallery Boasts Artworks & Items Across the MCU

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has already dominated cinemas after 10 years of delivering movies of different super heroes. Its reach has become so encompassing that it can now venture into the arts.

This is now made possible with Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe, which is a show that will be held in Australia. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will have 500 artworks that showcase the signature costumes and accessories of the heroes. We have Iron Man's suit, Captain America's shield, and even Thor's hammer. It will also have 60 costumes and over 150 props and set pieces.

"So this is popular cinema, but that doesn't make it any less interesting or any less worthy because more people see it. I don't think rarity is a gauge for something's value. You can talk about film in a different way than if you were just an art-house cinema. You talk about it as an art medium, as you would with painting or sculpture."

Granted, the MCU's movies are still ongoing, so the latest that fans can check out in the show are items from Thor: Ragnarok, especially fitting since the movie itself was shot in Gold Coast, Australia.

The show will have three sections, namely The Cinematic Assembled for the narratives, Decoding the Universe for the network of characters in the current movies, and Alternate Dimensions to check out the worlds that extend beyond the Earthly realm.

Don't expect items from Black Panther, Spider-Man: Homecoming, or Avengers: Infinity War, as the films are either still ongoing or have just wrapped up.

Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe will start on May 27 and will run until Sept. 3 at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, Australia.
