Marvel Teases New Series' For Ghost Spider (Spider-Gwen) and Superior Octopus

As the Marvel universe faces Spider-Geddon in a few months it seems like the publisher has a few tricks up their sleeves regarding Spider-Man characters. Now that SDCC 2018 is upon us, Marvel has decided to reveal two new teaser images that seem to be hinting at two new comic series'; The Superior Octopus and Ghost Spider.

While no details were released, we do know that Superior Octopus is Otto Octavius in a new clone body that he made during the Clone Conspiracy event. Though he did serve Hydra during Secret Empire, his actions in Amazing Spider-Man #800 has suggested that Otto is turning over a new leaf. Now teaching at Horizon University under the pseudonym Elliott Toliver, it will be fun to see what he does next.

Ghost Spider, formerly known as Spider-Gwen to comic book fans and Spider-Woman in her own universe, has seemingly decided to keep her new name from Marvel Rising. Spider-Gwen recently ended after a stellar run from Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez so seeing her back with a new identity should excite fans.

Fans will have to wait until July 20 to know more about these comics and their creative teams. Until then, it's safe to speculate.
