Marvel Teases Fans With Classified Information 'Leak', Hints Weapon Plus #1

Tom Holland may have become infamous for not keeping his mouth shut when the moment requires him to, but this time it's Marvel Studios itself who has intentionally released a "leak".

Last Friday, Marvel Entertainment posted some not-for-your-eyes-only content on their website and social media accounts. Check it out below.

With what seems to be a heavily redacted document marked with "Do not publish – confidential" and a bunch of unintelligible strings coupled with bits and pieces of phrases, fans can easily decipher some of its content such as "adamantium", "NYC", and "children of the atom".

Although it still remains unclear to what the redacted documents are hinting us, it seems that it's a gentle nod to the Weapon X program through the roman numerals that could refer to enhanced individuals in the Marvel universe, with Weapon I being Captain America and Weapon X as Wolverine.

A closer look at the first document gives off clues such as 'vita-rays', 'test subject' and 'previous ailments', which relates to Steve Rogers' origins as he volunteers to the Super-Soldier Program.

Phrases like "bones and claws of adamantium" and "healing factor" obviously refer to Wolverine in the second document, while "The World" and "Thirteenth Weapon" are probably a reference to Fantomex.

This ‘leak' seems to be a heads-up to the upcoming Wolverine and Captain America: Weapon Plus #1 by Ethan Sacks and artist Diogenes Neves, which reveals the strong ties between Weapon I and Weapon X – Captain America and Wolverine.
