Marvel Stars Talk About How Wakanda Changes The MCU As It Approaches Avengers: Infinity War

Black Panther is changing the landscape of the comic book genre, and now as Marvel approaches the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, a film that's been marketed to be the beginning of the end, Okoye actress Danai Gurira talks about how Wakanda is going to change the MCU.

Gurira recently sat down in an interview with Entertainment Weekly to speak about Black Panther, and during the discussion the Marvel star opened up about what Wakanda might bring to the table in Avengers: Infinity War.

"The preservation of Wakanda has been at their core, and something their forefathers and foremothers put in place for a long time — and it's worked! They're a deeply prosperous people for a reason, and now it's about opening up the borders, and being generous to others beyond Wakanda."

Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. also gave his input, saying Tony Stark would see Wakanda as an inspiration after the country comes out in the open.

"Well, a technologically advanced country is probably something that he wishes would benefit humanity without creating more infighting. I think that's what he would hope for America. That's what he would hope for the world. I think to him, he would view it as a potentially utopian model."

Well, it isn't going to be easy fighting the Mad Titan Thanos, and the Avengers are going to need all the resources they can get. Wakanda's technological know-how and their vibranium will certainly go a long way in the fight for the galaxy.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres April 27.
