Marvel Rumored To Reboot The Inhumans

There might have been a lot of buzz around ABC's The Inhumans before the series started its run in 2017, however, the series was met with low television ratings and unfavorable reviews, forcing the network to cancel the show after its very first season.

While this has been a major setback for the first family of Attilan, it seems like word on the rumor mill says that Marvel plans to bring the Inhumans into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to MCU Cosmic, there's a rumor going around that Marvel wants to involve the Inhumans in the future of the MCU.

The entertainment news site says that this reboot would be in no way a continuation of ABC's failed The Inhumans series and that it would take a long, long while for the show to actually come to fruition. According to the report, it's very likely that the Inhumans reboot will take place much further down the MCU timeline after Marvel properly establishes characters like Ms. Marvel or Kamala Khan and the Celestials in the MCU.

This definitely makes sense. The very first Muslim hero to headline her own comic book series, Kamala Khan starts out as a regular teen who has no idea that she has Inhuman genes inside her. It's only when she comes into contact with a certain gas that Kamala's powers begin to show, allowing her to become Ms. Marvel.

Ms. Marvel's upcoming series on Disney+ could help establish the existence of the Inhumans, paving the way for the first Attilan family in the MCU.

Disney+ launches on November 12, 2019.
