Marvel announced the Avengers video game release back in June at E3 2019. There have only been very few gameplays and fans are eager to know what Marvel has to offer in this new game.

And with continued teasers for the upcoming game, there hasn't been exact information revealed besides some of the heroes' abilities and suit upgrades. Developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix are mostly keeping this a secret. Leaving the fans hanging with some prologue videos on their YouTube channel.

Even though most of the game's information is under wraps, Marvel makes sure to provide some tidbits, trivia, and facts while fans await the game's release.

In a recent tweet by Marvel, a story regarding Thor's hammer was revealed. As most of the people know, the game prologue showed that the Mjolnir was left in front of a statue of Captain America. As it turns out, Thor's reasoning behind this was very much surprising.

It was revealed that Thor was taught a lesson in humility by Dr. Donald Blake, who turned into the God of Thunder, in his appearance in Journey into Mystery #83. He was then taught a similar lesson after the events of A-Day as he witnessed Captain America go down the Chimera helicarrier. He then leaves the Mjolnir at Captain America's statue because he felt that he was unworthy of the hammer. You can check out the full tweet below:

In contrast to the comics released in the past, this kind of event happened because Thor was actually deemed unworthy of the Mjolnir. However, the game suggests that Thor made a surprising decision to do so.

It's certainly an intriguing move for Thor and it adds much more depth to the story of the game.

Thor's character will be available to play in the Marvel's Avengers video game along with the like of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and Black Widow.

The game is scheduled for release on May 15, 2020.
