Marvel may have yet to reveal the details about the new Spider-Man films that it's going to develop now that Disney and Sony finally have a new deal in place, however, there are rumors going around saying that the studio is going to bring a female version of Doc Oc into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to a report by We Got This Covered, sources close to Marvel say that the studio is planning to introduce Doctor Octopus into the MCU and this time it looks like the villain is going to appear as a woman.

Inspired by the Marvel fanbase's positive reception towards the female Doctor Octopus introduced in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Marvel is hoping to introduce their own version of the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While the studio is reportedly hellbent on having a female Doc Oc in the Marvel film franchise, we're not quite sure whether Marvel is planning on adapting Carolyn Trainer's Lady Octopus from Marvel comics or whether the studio is going to introduce their own version of Spider-Verse's Olivia Octavius.

We also can't be sure whether Marvel is planning to introduce the villain in the third Spider-Man standalone movie or whether the studio plans to have the villain appear in the fifth movie involving Tom Holland's version of Peter Parker.

The next Marvel movie, Black Widow, is set to premiere on November 6, 2020.
