Marvel Reportedly Casting Shia Leboeuf or Rami Malek in Moon Knight Series

Marvel might have surprised fans when it announced that it would be developing a Moon Knight series for Disney's upcoming streaming site, however, there has been very little information about the project since its announcement.

While Marvel hasn't released casting information about the series just yet, there are some pretty surprising rumors going around about the Moon Knight project. According to a new post on Reddit, there are leaks suggesting that Marvel is considering casting Shia LeBeouf, Rami Malek, Justin Theroux, Michael Ealy, or Garret Hedlund for the role. However, the rumor also suggests that there's an internal push in Marvel to go for an unknown actor instead and then surround him with A-list actors in the series.

The series is reportedly going to alternate between the years 2003 and 2023 as a trippy time-traveling series. The project is supposed to explore series themes like wealth disparity, mental health, and superhero action. Moon Knight is also reportedly going to take notes from Warren Ellis comic book run at Marvel with Marc Spector's classic costume appearing in the series.

According to the leaks, Moon Knight is supposed to be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first truly flawed protagonist, the one with decisions that come to surprise fans. Marvel won't be pulling any punches even if the series is supposed to air on Disney+.

Of course, as with all rumors, we advise fans to take this report with a grain of salt. We can only really rely on what Marvel tells us about the series. We'll have to wait for confirmation from Marvel before trusting anything yet.
