It looks like Marvel fans have to wait a whole lot longer till they get to hear what the studio has lined up next for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kevin Feige spoke with journalists at the Marvel Studios headquarters early in April saying that the studio had no plans of revealing their Phase 4 film itinerary any time soon and it looks like the Marvel President is sticking to his guns.

Speaking at a Spider-Man: Homecoming press junket, Feige was asked by Comicbook when the studio planned to release its Phase 4 listing, and the Marvel Studios head gave a vague reply:

"At some point we will. Other than the next Spider Man film, it's about concluding a 22 movie saga in May of 2019."

In a separate interview with iO9 at the same Press Junket, Feige explained further saying that the studio would most likely announce its plans for Phase 4 after the release of the untitled Avengers 4 movie in 2019.

"I hope [the news comes] after that. I think there will be certain elements that start to come about, not the least of which is the already announced release date of the next Spider-Man film. But other than that we're going to keep it very close to the vest because this is really about focusing on the unprecedented conclusion to a 22-movie overarching narrative."

This may seem uncomfortable for fans – Marvel used to lay its title out in public quite openly. However, after altering release date announcements in the past, it looks like the studios decided to go a different direction and hold on to its titles longer.

The next Marvel film scheduled for release is Spider-Homecoming which hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
