Jason Aaron's Star Wars comic book run has been quite the thrill ride, telling some very good stories that took place after A New Hope and before The Empire Strikes Back. The comics had some very memorable moments, including a fun fight between Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett, Darth Vader realizing Emperor Palpatine lied to him and the introduction of Han Solo's ex-wife among others.

With 37 issues under his belt, it's easy to see why Marvel would want to pay tribute to the writer's epic run via video. He not only wrote some great stories, but he also worked with some of the best artists Marvel had to offer, including the likes of John Cassaday, Stuart Immonen, Mark Brooks, Terry Dodson, Leinil Yu and much more.

The book will be in fine hands when Kieron Gillen takes the reins from Aaron with Star Wars #38. He previously worked on the now-finished Darth Vader series, which went on for 25 issues and even crossed over with Aaron's Star Wars at the time. Gillen is also working on the ongoing Doctor Aphra series, a new character he introduced in the aforementioned Vader run.

Jason Aaron's final Star Wars issue hits comic shelves next month, on October 4. Kieron Gillen will begin his run with Star Wars #38, which comes out on November 8. The series will show how Luke and Leia react to the big sacrifice made in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
