Marvel Officially Brings Back The Fantastic Four

It took a long time but Marvel is finally bringing back the Fantastic Four in a new ongoing series. The company has been building up a huge announcement and they have delivered, as the new comic will be coming out in August and it has one hell of a creative team; Dan Slott and Sara Pichelli.

Announced on a Facebook video, Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski has revealed that the original four members of the group - Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm - are all returning, though he didn't say how. Still, with a creative team like Slott and Pichelli, the team's future is in good hands.

Currently, Chip Zdarsky's Marvel Two-in-One series has been teasing the group's return for some time. The ongoing comic revolves around Johnny and Ben's search for Reed and Sue, who have disappeared since the end of Secret Wars (2015).

Fans who have read Dan Slott's Amazing Spider-Man or Silver Surfer know that the writer loves his Marvel history. While some would argue that Chip Zdarsky deserved a shot at the group, since he is setting up their return, Slott's encyclopedia-like knowledge of the Marvel universe makes him a perfect fit for the series.

Sara Pichelli is also one hell of an artist, who draws some of the best facial expressions and body language in comics today. Her work in Spider-Man, Spider-Men, Spider-Men II, and Guardians of the Galaxy have shown just how good she is.

Fantastic Four #1 comes out this August. It feels good saying that.
