Marvel May Be Preparing Another Unannounced Phase 4 Movie For The MCU

Marvel brought in the big guns at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con International earlier this month when it revealed its entire slate for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only is Marvel preparing five films for its new Phase 4 roster, but the studio is also working on five new properties for Disney's upcoming streaming site Disney+.

But what if this isn't all that Marvel has planned for Phase 4 of the MCU? What if there are more Phase 4 movies on the way?

Speaking in an interview with MTV News, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is asked about potential crossovers that the Phase 4 films might build up to. During his discussion with the entertainment news outlet, Feige happened to mention that Marvel wanted eleven projects for the new MCU Phase.

"We debated what we should announce today, Feige said. "Should we announce 4 and 5? We've planned them out, we've got five years down the road and I was like 'I think eleven projects in two years is plenty,'" the Marvel Producer said.

That's two more projects that are largely unannounced. Either Marvel decided to scrap these projects, or the studio has decided to keep these two a secret for now. Maybe we'll more information about these mystery projects during Disney's D23 Expo, or maybe when Marvel's finished releasing some of its upcoming Phase 4 films like Black Widow, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. We'll just have to stick it out and wait and see.

Black Widow is slated for release on May 1, 2020.
