Marvel Invites Fans for a Day at Sea With the Great Superheroes


Disney Cruise Line is introducing a new experience for those who want to enjoy more superhero-like adventures at sea.

Come fall of 2017, there will be a Marvel Day at Sea adventure, which is a day-long celebration departing from New York. According to Marvel, Marvel Day at Sea will be a combination of animated and comic Marvel adventures.

"The event features all-day entertainment including exclusive interactions with some of the mightiest Marvel Super Heroes and the menacing foes that oppose them, an extraordinary deck party, Marvel-themed youth activities, special merchandise, and unique food and beverage offerings."

Apart from the great events at sea, the cruise is also giving fans viewings of the Disney XD shows, including Marvel's Avengers Assemble," "Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man," and "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy," making this a cruise that kids will especially enjoy just as much.

If that's not enough, some of the spider heroes will also be at the cruise. This means meet-and-greets and photo session with Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, and other Marvel Universe super heroes. There will also be some super villains involved, with the entire adventure culminating in one display of themed pyrotechnics, lighting, sound effects, and the heroes and villains marvelously assembled.

Marvel Day at Sea is scheduled for a seven- and eight-night Disney Magic Bahamian cruises starting from New York on Oct. 6, 14, and 28, and Nov. 4, 11, and 18 next year. The cruise will have a stop at Disney's private island astaway Cap and Port Canaveral and a day at Walt Disney World Resort.

There's also a seven-night Canadian Coast cruise from New York on Oct. 21, 2017. This will stop over at Charlottetown, Sydney, and Halifax.
