Marvel Icon Stan Lee Calls Police After Someone Stole $1.4 Million From His Bank Account

The Marvel comics legend has told police that he's had $1.4 million stolen from his bank account.

According to TMZ, LAPD detectives specialized in dealing with elder financial abuse visited the 95-year-old's Hollywood Hills home on Friday. They spent more than two hours with Lee. During that time, he was asked who had access to his bank accounts and when exactly the money went missing.

Lee reportedly supplied the police with financial records to help them find the perpetrator.

The new theft comes just weeks after someone had swindled Lee out of $850,000 and used it to buy a condo. It only discovered after Lee's team carried out a full audit after they found out that a check had been forged in his name for $300,000.

Lee filed a report to the Beverly Hills Police Department, telling them that the check was written out to the merchandising company Hands of Respect.

A few weeks ago, the former editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics was also rushed to the hospital after falling ill.

Lee created some iconic Marvel superheroes like Spider-Man, Hulk, Captain America, and Thor.

Earlier this month, police had to investigate an alleged battery in Lee's home.
