Black Panther was one of the most lauded films in the MCU, with many claiming it was a great superhero movie with wonderful world-building, though some of the CGI was pretty weak. Even with all of its flaws and haters, Black Panther 2 quickly became one of the MCU's most-asked about sequels, with Kevin Feige and director Ryan Coogler often giving vague answers as to when it will be coming out.

Well, Marvel Studios has finally given us a proper release date, revealing that the still-unnamed Black Panther 2 will be coming out on May 6, 2022. This is a pretty good release date since it's going to be free from competing against the Disney+ MCU shows coming out like WandaVision or Hawkeye. It's also coming out in the same month as Black Widow is in 2020, essentially stating that May is a Marvelous month.

Or, should we say a May-velous month?

Actual details on the sequel are still unknown, though it will be interesting to see the state of Wakanda after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Both T'Challa and Suri were dead for quite some time, five years to be exact, with Okoye taking charge of the country while they were gone. Whether she remains in power or not has yet to be revealed, though this movie will probably do that.

Years of waiting have finally paid off now that we know the Black Panther 2 release date is May 6, 2022. Who else is hyped about this?
