Marvel Fans are Busy Fighting About Whether Wolverine Can Cut His Own Claws

It might sound strange, but with COVID-19 forcing everyone to stay at home and self-quarantine, Marvel fans have started moving past Avengers movie marathons to wild debates on the internet. One of the most recent topics of discussion Wolverine and his Adamantium claws.

Thanks to the lockdown placed to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus, fans have resurrected one of the oldest questions about Wolverine – can James Hewlett cut off his own claws?

The debate has spread like wildfire on Twitter, and it looks like fans have pretty funny responses to the question. Some fans can't imagine what Wolverine cutting off his claws might look like. What if an X-Man walks into the room while Wolverine tries to glue his cut claws back on?

Others are taking the debate a little bit more seriously though. Some have been trying to put a little physics work into the question. Others try to put logic and reason, saying that he could probably cut off his own claws with one hand, though he would have probably made a few mistakes here and there.

Others try to chalk it off to the writers and how powerful they want Wolverine to be.

It's an interesting debate to say the least. It gives Marvel fans something to think about while they're stuck at home in self-quarantine.
