Marvel Fan Spots a New Spider-Man: Homecoming Easter Egg We All Missed

It's been around three years since Spider-Man: Homecoming was released but fans are still spotting some details that the majority of the audience might have missed. A new Easter egg was spotted from the movie and as it turns out, it was just right there in front of us!

Redditor /u/MrBubbles9039Phil shared a post on the site with a still of Zendaya's MJ from the movie. The setting was on their school field trip to Washington monument. MJ was seen wearing a shirt with a photo of poet Sylvia Plath, who actually wrote a poem titled Spider. You can check out the fan's post below.

While it could just be a coincidence, there's also the possibility that the shirt represents MJ's fondness of morbid topics. The poet suffered depression and died by suicide, which is certainly someone that the character would be interested in. But then again, the fact that they chose a shirt with Plath on it might be a subtle way of referencing the hero.

On that note, Zendaya is expected to reprise her role in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel which is set for release on July 16, 2021. Some of the books she was seen holding in the movies are somewhat connected to Spider-Man, and we might see more of those in the third movie.

Did you spot that Spider-Man Easter egg? Have you noticed some other references in the movie as well? Tell us in the comments below!
