Marvel Cut Epic Hulk Fight Scene Against Thanos and The First Order in Avengers: Infinity War

The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) might have been part of the main team in Avengers: Endgame, however, Bruce Banner didn't get as much screen time as fans would have wanted in the Russo's two-part Avengers movie. Fans wanted to see the Hulk get more action, instead, they got more of Smart Hulk making cutesy quips while staying the sidelines.

Now, Avengers: Endgame – The Art of the Movie reveals that Hulk was actually supposed to have a few major moments in Avengers: Infinity War's third act (via ComicBook.com). Thanks to concept art revealed in the new art book for Endgame, fans get to learn that Hulk was actually supposed to burst out of Tony Sark's Hulkbuster armor to physically take on the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his army in the big battle sequence of the film.

The art piece features Hulk fighting directly against Cull Obsidian.

"That was actually going to be smart Hulk's reveal in Infinity War," Marvel head of visual development Ryan Meinerding explains in the book, "He was going to be arguing with the Hulk as he was Banner inside of the Hulbuster, and just as Cull Obsidian is about to murder him, smart Hulk bursts out and that's where he comes to some resolve. I think they just decided to save it for Endgame and not do it in Infinity War."

Fans were actually anticipating this Hulkbuster scene because of early Lego leaks, however, the epic Hulk sequence never really made it to the big screen. It didn't happen in Infinity War. It didn't happen in Endgame. Perhaps because Endgame decided to reveal Smart Hulk early on in the film.
