Marvel And ABC Are Working On A Show Like Jessica Jones

Of all the Netflix shows based on Marvel characters, a lot of fans tend to say Jessica Jones is their favorite. The show proved to be a huge hit with critics, thanks to a dark story that was enhanced by great performances from Krysten Ritter and David Tennant. It seems like ABC wants to replicate that success, as reports are claiming that the television network is making a similar show with Marvel.

Details on the show from The Hollywood Reporter are vague, with no reports on which character or team to base the show on. This would be a good way to get some attention to some of Marvel's lesser-known female characters. Only time will tell if the show is a hit, but the Marvel brand should get some viewers to check it out.

It would be interesting to see if ABC can replicate the success of Jessica Jones, which will be getting a second season on Netflix in the future. ABC is the current home of two Marvel television shows; the ongoing Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the upcoming Marvel's The Inhumans. Marvel's Agent Carter was also a part of ABC, but was cancelled after the second season, which upset many fans.

While fans wait for details on this mysterious show, they do have The Inhumans to look forward to in November 3. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.
