Marvel & Lucasfilm Introduce New Jedi

Since Disney purchased Lucasfilm from George Lucas, we've seen a surge of Star Wars comics that expanded the stories of our favorite characters, and we're introduced to new characters we've never seen in the films before. In Darth Vader #2, written by Charles Soule with art by Giuseppe Camuncoli, one of those new characters was just introduced, and he's a Jedi named Kirak Infil'a, and he has an epic confrontation with the greatest Sith lord himself, Darth Vader.

Here's what the issue's solicitation's description says:

"The most fearsome villain of all time returns with an all-new series! When Anakin Skywalker fell, both to the pull of the dark side and to the blade of Obi-Wan Kenobi, he rose back up, more machine than man. Having lost everything that was once dear to him, the former chosen one must take his first steps into a darker world…as Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith! Join Vader as he learns a new way – the way of Darth Sidious and his newly formed Empire…the way of the dark side."

In the series that takes place after Revenge of the Sith, Vader has to prove himself as a worthy adversary.

In the second issue, Vader has to seek out a Jedi's lightsaber so he can steal it and reconstruct into a weapon for the Sith. The comic shows that Kirak infil'a has been inactive in recent years, which will make Vader's hunt more challenging. The comics show us a glimpse of the Jedi.
