Mark Hamill Looking Forward To Future Star Wars Films, Even If He Isn't In Them

Mark Hamill's future in the final installment of the current Star Wars trilogy has been called into question since Luke Skywalker seemingly passed away during The Last Jedi. The character had finally used the Force again after years of cutting himself off from it so that he could help out the Resistance during a close encounter with The First Order.

Hamill had previously stated that he didn't believe Luke was dead and could appear in Episode IX in a certain capacity. However, during an interview with AFP, he has seemingly accepted the fact that he might not be in it.

After graciously accepting his Hollywood Star, Hamill told AFP that his character has essentially completed his arc and is looking forward to future Star Wars films, whether he's in them or not.

"You know I had a beginning, a middle and an end, so whether I'm not involved or just a member of the audience, I'm looking forward to it."

During his Hollywood Star speech, Hamill brought up how important it is to be humble, a lesson he learned from Han Solo himself Harrison Ford. It looks like he's taken that lesson to heart with this statement and it's good to see him excited about the franchise's future.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is getting its Digital HD release on March 13 and its Blu-Ray and DVD release on March 27.
