Major Details Revealed on Spider-Man‘s Role in Captain America: Civil War

It's a known fact that Spider-Man will appear in Captain America: Civil War, but audiences are still in the shadows as to exactly how Peter Parker will play into the movie and which side he's on. Now, we're getting more details on the web slinger's highly anticipated appearance.

According to What Culture, Spider-Man's role will only come into play after the Avengers have already been divided. The site added that Spidey is set to form a close friendship with one of the characters, which is probably expected by many already, but exactly who hasn't been revealed.

By retrospect, in the Civil War comic, Spider-Man's role in the war is pretty critical and will be key to several highlights and changes in the entire story. While we know that Tom Holland's Spider-Man won't be as pivotal as in the comics, there's nothing that the studio can do since the shared rights was only approved when the film is already in production.

It's also worth noting that Spider-Man's ultimate decision was to side with Captain America in the comics after starting with Iron Man. Since this is the Cinematic Universe, things could still change. There's a chance that Spidey might choose Stark's team if Iron Man goes by the Sokovia Accords. After all, he still goes by Uncle Ben's motto: "With great power comes great responsibility."

With any luck, Marvel could still present us a trailer with Spider-Man with his costume on it.

Captain America: Civil War is slated for release on May 6.
