Major Cast Member Confirmed To Be in Star Wars: Episode VIII

Warning: The following info may be spoilery to some fans , so if you dont' want to know the name of the actor, stop reading, because chances are, he made it alive in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII was supposed to begin shooting earlier this week, but the first day of filming was delayed due to bad weather. The news came from the Irish Examiner who says that several cast and crew members were in Count Kerry to film some scenes off the coast on Skellig Michael island, which was also one of the key locations of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

One of those cast members has been confirmed: Mark Hamill, who will be back to reprise his role of Luke Skywalker in the sequel. He'll probably have more screentime in Episode VIII than The Force Awakens. I think Hamill won't show up in The Force Awakens until the latter half, toward the end.

Skellig Michael is the same place where Hamill reportedly almost died while filming. The location most likely represent the place where Luke Skywalker has been hiding.

Star Wars: Episode VIII will be released in theaters on May 26, 2017. So do you think Han and Leia will also return in the sequel? There's a major spoiler that says that one of them might not make it alive in The Force Awakens. You can read about that here.
