Magic: The Gathering Video Explains Why Lightning Bolt is Iconic

Remember the 8-minute video about Pithing Needle we shared a couple of months ago? Well, that guy (Youtuber TheMagicManSam) is back with a 14-minute "card studies" video about why Lightning Bolt is considered an iconic Magic: The Gathering card. The video, simply titled Bolt, starts off with a brief history of Bolt, including some quotes from the Magic creator himself, Dr. Richard Garfield. It also highlights the 2013 World Championship control mirror semi-finals match between Ben Stark and Shahar Shenhar, and examines what led to Shenhar's victory. It's definitely one of the best Magic matches captured on video, and it shows us the versatility of one of Magic: The Gathering's iconic cards. It also looks back at the artists who illustrated the artworks for Lightning Bolt. Christopher Rush, who also designed the mana symbols for Magic, created the original art for Lightning Bolt.
