Major Magic: the Gathering spoilers from the upcoming expansion Theros Beyond Deathhave been leaked today, including the new Elspeth card called "Elspeth, Sun's Nemesis", and it turns out that the card's art illustrated by Chuck Lukacs reveals some story spoilers for the upcoming set.

As one Redditor points out: On Elspeth's left, you can see a depiction of her slaying Xenagos, and on the right, she's doing the same to Heliod, the sun god who killed her in the Journey into Nyx storyline. This is not surprising given her name is "Elsepth, Sun's Nemesis".
Elspeth will clearly be featured as the main character of Theros Beyond Death. The promotional art for the upcoming set features her wearing a mask partly hiding her face, and it looks like she's back for vengeance. It looks like the Theros Beyond Death story will focus on her journey in the underworld, and she will probably end up killing Xenagos and Heliod, as depicted in the art.
Theros Beyond Death, the 83rd Magic: The Gathering expansion, is set to release on January 24, 2020. Prerelease events will take place on January 17-19.
