Mythic Championship VI winner Ondřej Stráský gave away 10,000 gems in Magic: The Gathering Arena to the player who can craft the best Standard deck without the recently-banned "Oko, Thief of Crowns".
Following Monday's bans of MTG cards, the Czech professional player took it to Twitter to start a content for Magic Arena players to build the best Standard deck without the oppressive Throne of Eldraine planeswalker, and deck submissions were due earlier this week, and players submitted them via direct message on Twitter. A decklist should contain a minimum of 60 cards on maindeck and 15 for the sideboard.
On Wednesday, Stráský announced that the winner of the challenge is Christian Choy, but he didn't seem to reveal the decklist on Twitter.
It could be the Simic Adventure deck he recently tweeted and streamed.
10,000 gems in Magic Arena is about equivalent to $50 USD, so it's nice to see Stráský do a giveaway contest for the players.
Stráský and his fellow Czech MTG player Stansilav Cifka recently brewed an Esper Doom Standard deck as well, so check it out.
Now that Oko is gone, the Standard format should be more diverse and healthy without 3/3 Elks. What Standard decks have you been playing without Oko? Let us know in the comments section below.
Mythic Championship VII takes place on December 6-8, where 68 of the world's best MTG Arena players will compete for their share of the $750,000 prize pool.
