The upcoming Magic: The Gathering set War of the Spark will be mainly set on the plane of Ravnica but according to Magic head designer Mark Rosewater, the epic story about the war between Nicol Bolas and The Gatewatch will also take place in another plane.

"The vast majority of the cards in War of the Spark take place on Ravnica, but we do see one other plane," Rosewater said on his Blogatog in response to a fan's question. Rosewater didn't reveal what the other plane will be featured in War of the Spark but it's probably Amonkhet since it's already been confirmed that the four of the Amonkhet gods will return as zombified or "Eternalized" beings, and of course, Bolas's undead army came from Amonkhet.

It's also possible that the other plane Rosewater is talking about is the new plane that will be in the set after War of the Spark.

War of the Spark will be released on May 3, 2019. It's the third of a series of consecutive sets set in Ravnica and it will focus on the epic war between Nicol Bolas and the Gatewatch.
