Each celebrity is paired with a Magic expert to form six two-person teams representing each country.

Only two teams from each country will move on to the second day to compete with their European rivals, and after two days of competition on Magic Arena, one country will be crowned and claim the pride and glory even though there are no prizes for this friendly competition.

Wizards of the Coast revealed the teams below:

The Magic Celebrity Cup begins on Thursday, July 11, and Friday, July 12, at 6 p.m. BST/ 7 p.m. CEST and will be live on Twitch. Each country will have their own dedicated stream for viewers to watch:

Germany – twitch.tv/handiofiblood
France – twitch.tv/lestream
United Kingdom – twitch.tv/magic

This looks like an exciting tournament that will give the players and celebrities the chance to represent their countries. This competition reminds me of the Triwizard tournament from the Harry Potter series but I just wish that there are more countries involved to compete.

Which European country are you rooting to win the Magic Celebrity Cup?
