Fan-favorite Magic: The Gathering artist Seb McKinnon illustrated another stunning new art for the upcoming MTG set Theros Beyond Death, and today Wizards of the Coast has revealed the card featuring it: "Allure of the Unknown".
The rare red/black Sorcery card does something we've never seen in a Magic card before: It lets you reveal the top six cards of your library, and it lets your opponent choose a card they can play without paying its mana cost while you can keep the rest of the cards in your hand. Check it out:
While this card looks unplayable in the current Standard format, it will most likely see play in multiplayer Commander since it's considered a political card that could give an opponent of your choice an advantage.
McKinnon's art looks amazing here, and I would definitely like to have a playmat with that art. I also would like to get a playmat featuring Ryan Pancoast's new Theros Beyond Death planeswalker symbol art.
