Lynda Carter has Confirmed Talks to be in Wonder Woman 2

It's no mystery that Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins originally wanted 70s Wonder Woman Lynda Carter to cameo in the movie, but it never pushed through. Now Carter confirms that she's actually had discussions to appear in the sequel.

Talking to Today, Carter explained:

"That is up to Patty Jenkins. I've been talking to her about it. She's given me some hints about it and I guess it's up to Warner Bros if they want to spend the money. […] It really is up to Patty, and if it works in an organic way it'll be great fun and it'll be wonderful to do."

As for who Carter could play, it's possible that she will be doing a simple cameo as compared to a full-fledged role. It isn't strange for original actors to appear in reboot movies. Lou Ferrigno did it for The Incredible Hulk, and Christopher Reeves also made a guest-appearance in Smallville before his passing.

However, it would be amazing if Jenkins somehow found a way to make Carter an important character in the movie. Based on Carter's comments, I hope these talks push through.

We don't have a solid idea of the story for the Wonder Woman sequel yet, but we do know that it will be another period piece set during the Cold War era. What's more, we know that Kristen Wiig will be playing the villain Cheetah in the film, but I'm doubtful that she's the main villain.

Wonder Woman 2 is set to come out Nov. 1, 2019.
