There's no doubt at this point that Star Wars is one of the biggest entertainment franchises today as they are venturing into different mediums such as films, TV shows, novels, comic books, amusement park rides, and video games, especially since there's a lot of stories that they can tell in the galaxy far, far away. Now, another new exciting game is in the works which will be produced under the guidance of a video game industry legend.
Lucasfilm Games and Skydance New Media have announced that they are developing a narrative-driven, action-adventure game featuring an original story in the Star Wars galaxy. The project will be under the helm of Amy Hennig, the award-winning video game director and writer behind titles such as Uncharted, Legacy of Kain, and Jak and Daxter.
"I’ve often described how seeing Star Wars in 1977 essentially rewired my 12-year-old brain, shaping my creative life and future indelibly," Hennig said in a statement. "I’m elated to be working with Lucasfilm Games again to tell interactive stories in this galaxy that I love."
"We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working again with Amy. She and the Skydance New Media team have the talent and ambition to create a unique Star Wars adventure," Lucasfilm Games vice president Douglas Reilly said. "Their vision for making narrative driven and engaging interactive entertainment makes this collaboration very exciting. We’re working hard with their team of experienced and talented developers, and we’re looking forward to sharing more with Star Wars fans when the time is right."
While they didn't reveal any specific plot details or what era will the game be set in, it is exciting to hear that a new Star Wars game is in the works nonetheless, especially with the pedigree of people who are involved in the project who might have an interesting take on the franchise with the concept that they have.

There is no release date or window set yet for the untitled Star Wars game as it is still in the early development phase.
