Lucasfilm Confirms Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Thandie Newton in Han Solo

Though Phoebe Waller-Bridge tried to be coy when she was confronted with rumors about her participation in Lucasfilm's second Star Wars spinoff, it seems like the actress can't run from the official announcement from the studio that she'll be part of the Han Solo standalone.

Right after the production released the first official cast photo of Han Solo to the public, Lucasfilm rolled out a press release to signal the start of the film's production along with its official cast list. According to a report by Comicbook, among them was Westworld star Thandie Newton and of course Waller-Bridge.

After rumors came up that Waller-Bridge would be playing a significant female droid in the Star Wars spinoff, Waller-Bridge tried to play coy and deny the reports saying that she knew absolutely nothing and that "it's all rumors." Looks like there's no running now, Phoebe!

Now that we officially have Waller-Bridge confirmed, as well as Newton on the Han Solo train, it looks like television lovers are definitely getting a lot of familiar faces on the big screen when the film premieres.

Han Solo makes its cinematic debut on May 25, 2018.
