Lost Series Star To Land Marvel's Inhumans Lead Role

A veteran star from the legendary Lost TV series is apparently about to join Marvel's The Inhumans. However, this person hasn't been identified yet, and nobody is talking. The source, in referring to the star, used gender-neutral words, so the actor in question can be a man or a woman.

The recent YouTube episode of Meet the Press dropped the bombshell along with a challenge: to identify which of the 80 or so stars in Lost could be up for the part of one of the members of Marvel's most intriguing superhero teams. Co-host Jeff Sneider said:

"It is a veteran. I'm not going to say whether it is a man or a woman, it's a veteran of the television show LOST. A LOST veteran, I think, is getting a big role in The Inhumans. There is like 80 people in LOST. Good luck figuring that out!"

It does seem to be a tough search. You'd have to start with the premise that the Inhumans are a very secretive, almost xenophobic super race who deliberately kept themselves away from humanity. The character that is being cast is regal, intimidating, and not just superpowered---he's (or she's) not like Thor or the type who would chum around with humanity.

He or she would have to be able to exude the aura of being different---which is probably why they cast former Game of Thrones star Iwan Rheon into the series.

Connect that with presumably one of the more visible actors from Lost: the smart and charming Matthew Fox, the commanding Terry O'Quinn, the irreverent Josh Holloway, the engimatic Daniel Day Kim, the brooding Naveen Andrews, and the feisty Evangeline Lilly. And that's just for starters.

Check the list below and tell us who you think would make it to The Inhumans.

The Inhumans, directed by Scott Buck, will open its first two episodes in IMAX Theatres on September 1, 2017. The rest of the episodes will air on ABC starting September 26.
