Live-Action Tokyo Ghoul Play Character Posters and Premiere Date Revealed


There's another live-action play based on a popular anime series. Various anime series like Attack on Titan, Sailor Moon, and Naruto have been adapted into live-action plays, and now Tokyo Ghoul is one of the latest in the list. The stage play will feature ghouls must consume humans to survive. Earlier this week, the official website of the play started streaming a new promotional video to present its cast members in their costume. Check out the list of actors below:

Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine will reveal more cast members on Thursday.

This is the second live-action play based on Tokyo Ghoul, the first one debuted in 2015 at AiiA Theater in Tokyo.

Synopsis:

"Ghouls live among us,? the same as normal people in every way - except their craving for human flesh.? Shy Ken Kaneki is thrilled to go on a date with the beautiful Rize.? But it turns out that she's only interested in his body - eating it,? that is.? When a morally questionable rescue transforms him into the first half-human half-Ghoul hybrid,? Ken is drawn into the dark and violent world of Ghouls,? which exists alongside our own.?"

The live-action

Tokyo Ghoul

play will take place in Tokyo from June 29 through July 4 at the Theatre 1010. It will run on July 8-9 at Osaka's Umeda Arts Theater.
