Could Liv Tyler's Betty Rose make a comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Avengers: Infinity War is bringing together all of Earth's greatest heroes, and speculation has it that it might also bring with it the return of Bruce Banner's (Mark Ruffalo) former lover.

The Scottish Daily has Tyler listed as part of Infinity War's cast, and though the actress' involvement has yet to be confirmed, there are some rooting for her return.

Sure the Thaddeus Ross' (William Hurt) daughter hasn't been around ever since The Incredible Hulk back in 2008, but there are a few speculating that the Culver University scientist and professor Betty Ross could hook up again with Bruce in the very first installment in Marvel's two-part Avengers movie event.

Marvel might have had Bruce couple together with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson)in Avengers: Age of Ultron back in 2015, but the two ultimately struck up a doomed romance. Banner and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) were notably absent in Avengers: Civil War, running off for a cosmic adventure in Thor: Ragnarok.

While some are anticipating a sweet reunion in Infinity War, some believe that the trailer for the upcoming Marvel movie could be hinting an end to the romance between Bruce and Natasha. This gives room for fans hoping for the return of a Bruce and Betty pairing.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres on May 4, 2018.
