Lindsey Lohan Wants To Play Ariel in The Little Mermaid Live-Action Movie


In the early 2000's Lindsay Lohan used to be widely considered as Hollywood's next Big Thing. The actress gained recognition after starring in The Parent Trap remake in 1998, rising to prominence after starring in successful film's like Freaky Friday Freaky Friday and Mean Girls.

Despite her early success, Lohan's professional career turned sour after she made headlines in a few controversies. Though she still acts regularly, her acting career isn't as stellar as it once used to be. Now, the actress wants to turn things around, expressing interest in taking part in Disney's upcoming Little Mermaid live-action remake.

Taking to social Media, Lohan shared a photo putting her side by side with Ariel, showing the world her desire to participate in The Little Mermaid. The actress also mentioned that she wants Oscar-winning director Bill Corden to helm the film right after finishing this year's Beauty and the Beast live-action movie adaptation.

Though she's edited the caption, Entertainment Weekly has saved Lohan's original post, writing:

"I will sing again, as #ariel #thelittlemermaid [if] @Disney approve that #billcondon directs it. "

It's been quite some time since Lohan's done any major film projects, and playing Ariel in The Little Mermaid live action would certainly help turn things around for the actress. Let's see if Disney'll allow her a second chance at mainstream stardom.
