Lindsay Lohan Has Started Campaigning For The Role Of Batgirl

Considering how Iron Man had managed to revitalize the career of Robert Downey Jr., Lindsay Lohan seems to be open to getting into the superhero franchise business. She has just started campaigning for the role of Barbara Gordon in Joss Whedon's Batgirl.

Check it out:

Lohan hasn't starred in a feature since 2013 (The Canyons), but she seems to be piecing herself and her career back together. She's gotten role in an independent film called The Shadow Within and she has also gotten work on this British sitcom called Sick Note.

Seeing how much of a far cry Lohan's career has gone since Mean Girls, a lot of her fans would definitely love to see her top-billing a movie like Batgirl. The thing is, Whedon is said to have wanted a fresh face in the role, so I'm not liking Lohan's chances.

After the release of Justice League, news of Joss Whedon's Batgirl movie have gone quiet, but with Walter Hamada taking the reins of the DCEU, things might be going on the fast track for the rest of the franchise. With Aquaman set to be the only DC film coming out this year, 2019 better bring it's "A" game with Wonder Woman 2, Shazam!, and Suicide Squad 2.

No release date has been announced for Batgirl.
