Liam Cunningham Hints at Game of Thrones Season 7 Premiere Date

Usually the premiere date of a new season of Game of Thrones isn't shrouded in mystery. Whether it was late March or around April, the difference is usually just a few weeks, but this year, it will be different. Season 7's winter production schedule meant filming wrapped up a few months later than usual, and of course, the premiere was moved at a later time. Since production began two months later than usual, many estimated the seventh season to premiere sometime in June, but HBO may have other plans.

Now, thanks to Liam Cunningham (Davos in the show), we might have an idea when the premiere date will be since the actor gave away the month. Sadly, it's later than fans hoped.

During an interview with the Independent, Cunningham discussed the premiere date of Game of Thrones Season 7, saying:

"I've been disappointing various people around the world because it was meant to come out in April. It's July now, I think. There's going to be a launch and something special happening this year for the premiere. The bad news is, there will only be seven episodes and the [filming for the] final season starts again as far as I know in September."

Since Cunningham claims he "thinks" it will premiere on July, let's take his words with a grain of salt. Hopefully, HBO officially announces the show's premiere date soon.
