After the cover art for the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo was revealed, fans have been patiently waiting for it to come out so that they can play it themselves and get a taste of the main game. However, those of us who are less patient have datamined the game and have uncovered a couple of interesting details, like how it actually changes the story of the original game, which should get a lot of people talking.
MAJOR FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE SPOILERS AHEAD
Thanks to Kotaku, we now know that the bombing run that happens at the start of Final Fantasy VII is changed severely in this remake and it might be for the better. While Cloud, Barret, and co. were successful in blowing up one of the plants in the original game, here they only disable it and Shinra themselves completely destroy the plant themselves to make AVALANCHE more of a threat.
We also know that Red XIII will make an appearance in this game, though we aren't sure if he will be a playable party member. Considering how the remake is only going to let players go through Midgar, we probably won't have a lot of time with this red-dog-tiger-thingie and that's understandable.
Previous trailers have shown us new smoke monsters that haunt Aerith as part of the new things that will be in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Some of us are worried that the new things will change the story for the worst but it looks like this remake will do things well.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to PS4 on March 3.
