Kristen Stewart Should Be MCU's 'Gay Female Falcon Captain America,' Says Anthony Mackie

Like what Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has stated in a previous interview with The Wrap, the studio aims to prioritize inclusion and representation. He claimed that "this is the way the world is and the way, certainly, our studio's going to be run going forward" because according to Feige, "the more diverse the group of people making the movie is, the better the stories."

Add to that, the first-ever openly gay character is expected to appear in The Eternals, which will be coming in November along with a diverse group of superheroes, even including the first-ever deaf superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With this in mind, Feige did appeal to the fans, assuring that diversity is indeed the future and the main goal of MCU, making his statement from the previous interview to be true.

In relation to that, there is a high possibility of seeing other gay superheroes to be introduced in the MCU in the near future. This could go well for Kristen Stewart who has mentioned in an interview with Variety that she would like to play a gay superhero.

Although in a recent interview she had with Harper's Bazaar, someone in the past has given her advice and told her that she shouldn't "go out holding her girlfriend's hand in public" so that she "might get a Marvel movie". Stewart rejected this advice as she is an "open book" and preferred not to be "put in a box".

Stewart cited Marvel in her interview with Harper's Bazaar only because she was trying to think of it as a "big conglomerate-y type thing" and that she was sure that Marvel "would love to hire the gay kids to be superheroes".

Anthony Mackie, Stewart's co-star in Seberg, and Falcon actor since 2014 for Captain America: The Winter Soldier was asked on who the hero Stewart should play. He suggested that she should be the "gay female Falcon Captain America". Although this is unlikely to happen, it is possible that Stewart could be in the MCU and play a gay superhero in the future.

Especially now, considering the priority of the MCU is diversity and inclusion, it is very likely we would see a gay superhero. Whether it'll be played by Kristen Stewart or not, Marvel is moving towards a very good direction on representation for the future of MCU.
