Kong: Skull Island Has A Fun Jurassic Park Easter Egg

Kong: Skull Island has now hit theaters, and it's sure to get fans excited for the eventual Godzilla vs. King Kong movie in 2020. The movie stars Samuel L. Jackson, plays military man Preston Packard. What's fun is, there's a clever easter egg in the film that harkens back to Jackson's role in another hit blockbuster, Jurassic Park.

As ComicBook.com points out, Jackson's character is among an entire military team in helicopters going to Skull Island. With a massive storm in the way, and the entire team braces for impact, Jackson delivers on of his most iconic lines in cinema: "Hold on to your butts."

I know it's a small line, but it's such a fun nod to one of the biggest films in the 90s. Seeing that Jurassic Park set such a high standard for future monster flicks, it's nice that Kong: Skull Island can play around with their established universe.

Critics are giving Skull Island some good reviews, and it's a guaranteed fun blockbuster — it's opening weekend even beat out James Mangold's Logan! Now that's an impressive feat.

Kong: Skull Island stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, and John C. Reilly, and is currently playing in theaters.
