Kirsten Dunst Disses On Spider-Man: Homecoming; Says Raimi Films Were The Best

A lot of people can agree that Sam Raimi's first two Spider-Man movies were great, but with the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming on the horizon, someone has offered her opinion about the third reboot of Spider-Man — MJ Watson a.k.a. Kristen Dunst.

Talking to Marie Claire, Dunst admits:

"We made the best ones, so who cares? I'm like, ‘You make it all you want.' They're just milking that cow for money. It's so obvious. You know what I mean?"

Surely a lot of people can agree with Dunst's comments as Raimi's movies have been monumental in the development of the whole superhero genre. I wouldn't blame her on talking that way about Homecoming either because she doesn't really have any obligations to that production.

With the way Hollywood is, you can expect that they would try to milk anything out of a successful franchise. You think Disney bought Star Wars just so they could sit on it for the next couple of years? They want that box office gold, silly.

It's just wishful thinking, but I hope Dunst doesn't hold any grudges toward the production, and would be open to appearing in any future installments. It's always fun to have a cameo from any old cast members like Tobey Maguire or J.K. Simmons. Maybe Dunst can play the mom of a new teenage MJ? Just a small cameo.

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7.
