Kingdom Hearts 4 Officially Announced Along with Missing-Link, Dark Road Mobile Game Updates


Kingdom Hearts is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and it looks like Square Enix has a lot in store for 2022. The entertainment conglomerate has dropped a new video announcing plans for the franchise and it shares our first look at Kingdom Hearts IV! In addition to that, we're getting an awesome update on the Kingdom Hearts Dark Road smartphone game soon!

The Kingdom Hearts 20th-anniversary announcement video features great updates on Kingdom Hearts Union X and Kingdom Hearts Dark Road. In addition to that, we got our first glimpse at the new smartphone game Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link before the teaser for Kingdom Hearts IV. Watch the full video below.

These are great news considering that gamers are expecting huge updates from Kingdom Hearts on its 20th anniversary. With that in mind, we can't wait for the new titles to be dropped.

The Kingdom Hearts Union X and Kingdom Hearts Dark Road smartphone games were both originally supposed to end service back in May 2021. However, Kingdom Hearts Union X released its final story a month later and both games immediately switched to offline mode in June 2021. It has already been confirmed that Square Enix had planned to release a new story update for the offline version of Kingdom Hearts Dark Road last winter. However, it was delayed due to a "major scenario addition."

For now, there are not a lot of details about the new titles. However, there is a huge chance we will be getting new updates on Kingdom Hearts IV and Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link before the end of the year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The final story installment of Kingdom Hearts Union X and Kingdom Hearts Dark Road will be available on iOS and Android in August 2022.
