Kevin Feige Talks Villains For Future Spider-Man Movies

Besides Batman, Spider-Man probably has the second most memorable rogues gallery, and we already have two more villains confirmed for upcoming movies—Vulture for Homecoming, and Carnage for Venom. Marvel President Kevin Feige weighs in on which other villains we would see next in the MCU lineup.

During an interview with Hey U Guys, Feige explains:

"We haven't talked about that. What's fun about this is it's the first time Spider-Man is in the MCU. And the first time he's played by an actor who is the age, essentially, Spidey was in the comics for so long. And, as Michael Keaton does with the Vulture, we get to explore villains we haven't seen before. Spidey has an amazing rogues gallery, so at some point I think it might be interesting to revisit some of the characters we've seen in films before, but right now, we think there are a lot of new ones we haven't played with yet."

So far, the villains we've seen onscreen are The Green Goblin (twice), Doctor Octopus, Venom, Sandman, The Lizard, Rhino, and Electro. Besides the Vulture, Homecoming will also give us a look at Shocker and the Tinkerer, but they're still "lesser villains" in the movie.

There's already been news that Sony may be planning to make spinoffs for Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio, but I would really like to see which other villains Marvel has in mind. Some part of me just wants to see another Doctor Octopus come to life. Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin is also magnificent.

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7.
