Warner Bros. released a brand new trailer for Justice League last weekend, however while the preview managed to rile most fans up, naysayers complained that the trailer focused solely on the Justice League and barely featured the film's villain played by Ciaran Hinds, one of New Gods, Steppenwolf.
However, a new report by ScreenRant reveals more information not only on the villain, but on the epic opening battle scene of Justice League.
Apparently the site went ahead and visited the Justice League set last year, and the producers gave them the outline to the prologue sequence that establishes the film and serves as its opening.
In order to explain exactly why Apokolips is invading earth (giving Ben Affleck's Batman good reason to form the League), fans will get to see Parademons very first attempt at taking over the planet thousands of years ago, only to be defeated by an alliance between the Amazons, Atlantis and early ManKind.
The publication's prologue description can be seen in different clips in the Justice League trailer where we get to see Parademons sprawling across the land while the Amazons come in to charge. Atlantean soldiers have also been spotted in their gleaming gold armor, and in tiny spaces between the two is the army of the nations of Man dressed in animal fur. DC is definitely weaving a larger narrative for the DCEU, one that we hope it can tell well when Justice League drops in.
Justice League hits theaters on Nov. 17, 2017.
